Bella's Boutique Dog Walking Services have full liability insurance for all services offered, are DBS checked, and pet first aid trained.
Yes! Before we finalise any bookings, we will arrange a free meet and greet at your home in order to meet you and your pets. All paperwork will be sent ahead of time so that our full attention can be focused on making sure that you and your pets are comfortable around us, as well as giving us a chance to form that initial bond.
Bella's Boutique Dog Walking Services offer both group and solo walks for the same price. We don't believe in charging extra for those pups who may feel a little too overwhelmed with a walking companion and we are experienced with nervous, reactive and pups still working on their manners.
If you'd like a group walk, these will be carefully matched by personality and size to ensure happy and safe play for all. As per the rules of our local council, we will only ever walk up to four dogs at a time.
Not a problem! If your pup can't make their regular walk, just let us know. We understand that plans change - all we ask is that you provide us with 24 hours notice of any cancellations to provide us with the time to offer their slot to a dog on our waiting list.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the booked walk will incur the full cost of the service. If greater notice is given for a pre-paid walk, funds can be returned or retained for future bookings per your requirement.
Overnight sits are subject to a 50% holding fee in order to secure your dates. This means that we will lock in those dates for you and turn away all other inquiries for those dates. This fee is non-refundable within 72 hours of the service date. If greater notice is given, your holding fee will be returned or held for a future booking per your requirement.
During our initial meet and greet, we will ask for an emergency contact from yourself. This will be someone trusted with your pets. We will only contact your emergency contact in the event that we cannot first make contact with you.
If your pet requires veterinary treatment, and the unlikely event occurs in which neither you nor your emergency contact can be reached, Bella's Boutique will act on your behalf, acting in the best interests of your pet.
No. Most of our pack use our services due to needing to be out of the house themselves when their pups are hoping for their walks. We are DBS checked and can collect and drop off your pet without anyone needing to be present. To do this, we will simply need to retain a spare key or have access to a key safe so that we can do so safely and securely. Keys held by Bella's Boutique Dog Walking Services will never be labelled in an identifiable fashion.
Adaptations will need to be made for females coming into season. In order to be safe and polite to the neighbourhood dogs, who can be quite upset by the lingering smell of a fine female, any dog in heat will not be walked as normal.
Where dogs are in season, they will be removed from group walks if applicable for a minimum of three weeks. For the safety of your pet, please do let us know when your pup is coming/has come into season. Walks will be replaced in this instance by garden visits, giving your pet a chance to get out into their own secure space. Where a garden is unavailable, a quick on-leash let out to do her business will be undertaken, followed by love and affection indoors. If your pet is used to being in a group walk, their usual time slot may alter slightly in order to continue to fit them into the schedule during this time.
If this is unsuitable, the owner will need to make other arrangements until they are able to rejoin their regular schedule.
We get wet!
Bella's Boutique Dog Walking Services will walk in rain, sun and snow. Where extreme weather conditions are present, this may mean a curtailment or cancellation of services at short notice. You will not be charged for cancellations in this event. If we are still able to get to your pets, walks will be replaced with safe, controlled let outs or garden visits, which may be shorter than their regular walks in order to ensure all of our pets who are home alone are kept company during the day. For the safety of pups, we will not walk in extreme heat and smaller breeds may be considered unsafe to walk in extreme cold.
If the weather is safe to walk in and cancellations occur due to your pup not wishing to walk in rain, this will incur the cancellation fee.
Bella's Boutique Dog Walking Services offer a tailored service to all dogs, whether they require solo walks or enjoy group play and off-leash fun. Please understand that for group walks, we can only accept well-socialised, mild-tempered, non-reactive dogs to ensure the safety of all. They must not exhibit food or toy possessiveness or any reactivity to unknown humans or children. Dogs will be removed from group walks immediately if any behavioural issues arise.
We will consider dogs with behavioural issues for solo walks, providing all information about your dog has been provided honestly. Multiple meets may be needed before the dog joins us on walks to ensure your dog is as comfortable as can be around us.
Bella's Boutique Dog Walking Services retains the right to refuse service to any dog, at any time, at our personal discretion.
Yes. As part of our intake information, you can opt to give us permission to administer your pet's mediation. We will follow instructions given by the pet owner, which must be received in writing, as directed.
